Everyone is hammering the Giants over the PSL plan, but they are trying to finance a $1.6 BILLION dollar price tag. If you have 50 year old seats on the 50 yd. line, you're getting soaked for $20000 a seat, but most of the people are getting hit for $1000 a ticket.
Just for comparison, the Cowboys are building a stadium for $1.2 Billion and charging way more than the Giants are, although the Giants get to split construction costs with the Jets.
The Cowboys stadium is actually ritzier, but construction expense are WAY higher in the Northern NJ than in Texas. Your average construction worker is paying $10K a year in property tax and $4K a year in State income taxes, as well as a 7% sales tax on anything he buys. They demand and get higher wages as a result.... $100K a year makes you middle class around here.....
