I wonder how much this will hurt Google? After all it could be like Amazon Fire which diverts traffic away from Google - this time to Facebook.

Facebook isn't best big enough to hurt google and besides this isn't the same kind of fork of Android as the KINDLE OS was. This is more like a touchwiz or sense UI framework
