Can anyone tell me how many wires have to be installed on this new dish?
I have a dual transponder dish with two heads/cables. Will I need to install 3 more cables for the 5lnb?

Do you mean you currently have the elliptical 2 LNB (PhaseII dish) as opposed to a oval standard single LNB or elliptical 3 LNB (PhaseIII dish)?

YES you need more; 4 from the dish. Also, depending on how many tuners (not # of TVs) will determine the total number of total RG6 runs and what other equipment you might need. - HERE is the install manual for that dish.

You need as many cables as you have inputs on your receivers, up to 4 max. Beyond 4 receiver inputs you bring in 4 lines from the AT9 and expand further with a multiswitch.

Keep in mind when you run lines that you can't diplex OTA onto the AT9 feed. So you may need an extra run if your antenna is near the dish.

Here is a current AT9 manual. It should look better than that bad copy everyone is sponging from solidsignal.
Cheers!
Rick
