Ironically, I think it's because of the pirates that the Neusat is so cheap lately. The fact that there is no theft software for it is keeping the price down. The fact that it's an excellent true FTA receiver, as well as being dirt cheap, is like gravy on the cake. The pirates' loss is our gain!Iceberg said:yeah. Pretty sad when people are trying to screw the legit FTA'er
Unfortunately, there's a rumour is going around that Neusat as a company may be kaput. People are complaining that they don't answer their phones or emails, and their voice mail box is apparently full. Oh well. For $70 shipped, as long as the box works like everybody here says it does. I'm happy. (Although, I've heard that the external power is pretty weak, and may have trouble powering some motors and switches.)
It seems that many of these FTA receiver "companies" are pretty fly-by-night. Heck. I'm sure I could rent an office, start a website, and get a Korean or Chinese company to slap GarySat on the front of a few thousand FTA receivers. Voila! I'm the CEO of an FTA receiver company.
