Today while we tried to get a recorded show to play for our kid on the second tuner, which we use the RF remote# 2 for, the guide was jumping all over with channels being entered in and just almost possessed. After some head scratching I called the neighbors who I know have Dish and it was their kids trying to watch something on their second tuner.

So do all RF remotes work on the same frequencies? If not is it possible to get a different remote? What worries me is they actually selected a movie to rent and when I saw what was happening it was on the confirm screen. I've seen a few posts with people having movies on their accounts they didn't rent so could his be happening there? Ill lock our receivers so they can't accidentally rent movies in the future, but itlt was quite frustrating today so any suggestions on the remote signals? Just reminded me of that scene in Poltergeist ;-)

Thanks...

Sam

To change remove channels, open up the system menu so you see all the numbers for everything Remote 1 IR and remote 2 UHF, hold down the Sat button at the top of #2 for a few seconds till it starts to blink, press any other number than is shown on the screen now, then pound# key , then Record button and that will change it.

Your all set!

in the mean time lock your receiver so if your neighbor buys porn you dont get billed for it too:(

Hopefully that doesn't happen because it's their kids TV that's doing it :) I locked it this morning and per a few other posts I'll change the remote signal this evening.

If you haven't gotten it changed yet I attatched some directions on how to do it. I made this for our customers. You made need to print it out in order to read it better.
