need help with my hd vip 612 dvr please please

I recently bought a. VIP 612 dvr and got a black and red HD dish With a dish pro plus 3 eye head I had a sw21 switch not sure if thats the right one hooked up behind the receiver get 119 and 110 in perfect but nothing on 129 says wrong sat 119 do i need a certain. Switch to get 129 to come in its only running 1 tv heard i need a separator is that correct please help

The pictures of the 612 show 2 satellite coax connectors on the back for the dual tuner receiver. You need one coax line from your satellite dish coming in the house to a separator. The separator splits the signal. The separator has one "INPUT" for the line from the dish and 2 "SATELLITE IN" outputs each with a "1" & a "2" to indicate where it is to connected to the 612. I am not aware of any need for a SW21 switch.

Thanks rickdee do you know anyway to hook 612 solo box up to receive all 3 sats without a separator maybe with more than one wire to the head to the back of receiver thanks for your help its gotten me so aggrevated I've read so many post on this

if you dont have the separator hook 2 cables from the LNB to the receiver (one for each tuner)

Thanks iceberg does it matter witch eye I use I have number 1 sat on eye to 1 sat in on receiver and the 3rd one over on eye to sat 2 on receiver but my sat 129 still says wrong sat 119 with a signal of around 50

I am unaware of any 3-eyed LNB assembly that isn't DishPro Plus. Even the two-eyed assemblies are DishPro Plus these days. This means ONE cable to the separator, with the two stubby cables going to the two tuner inputs. DO NOT put any SWxx switches in, because they are legacy and will definitely not work. It does not matter which of the 3 outputs you use, if you have your dish aligned properly.

Ok thanks must be out of line it has 42/124/217 for my zip 71037 must be out of line some for 129 ,its around 145 elevation seems if I lower though it both says 110 and 119 go out

45 elevation I meant and the skew is right on though pole is plumb

Not sure what you mean by switch matrix I don't have a switch for the 612 box just have them direct from HD dish one in 1st and the other coaxial in the 3rd slot on the eye but no 129 says wrong sat 119

No its all clear could it be in the wrong port on the eye when I first set it up when out of box it before I activated it it came in with 129 after all the downloads it still was good but not a good signal that was with the sw21 switch hooked to it now Im not getting 129 after I did another switch test and have taken the switch off

The lnb has an internal switch but has three outputs and one input. is it possible you have a line hooked to the input and not the output?

It says number 3 on the hookup on the eye I'm stumped unless its just off the satellite

No I have no switch, just coaxial from sat 1 on back of vip612 solo receiver to dish eye marked port 1 and another coaxial from sat 2 on receiver to port 3 on the dish eye
