Need help to set-up Captiveworks receiver

If the old dish is Dishnotwork then it may have switches/LNB that are not compatible with your receiver. If you have any switches remove them all and you might be able to get the few channels that are FTA on Dish.

You would also have to use the L.O. of 11250

If its a DirecTV dish it will be pointing at 101w and there is nothing there FTA (With an 18" dish), if its a DirecTV Phase III (Triple LNB) it again will default to only 101w

hello- I finally got the dish installed but the guy din't know what satellite to point to. however he was able to find the quality and strenght on the receiver.
Any suggestion how we should we proceed from hereand what satellite should i scan first
