Need help setting up my FTA

That does look like a DS2076. On my DS2076 dish, when I had a motor on it, I just took the bottom bolt out and installed it backwards to have enough room for the proper setting. I think it's still on backwards now even though the motors long gone. I'll try and remember to take a picture of it tomorrow.

I believe raydio has successfully used that dish with an HH-90. Perhaps he can chime in on his procedure :)

Yes this worked pretty well...of course the end of the clamps that are clamped to the pipe would be clamped to the motor post.

Thanks, Raine. I would love to see a pic. of that.

Thanks, raydio. I don't know what you call the clamps, but do they come in different sizes? I actually have a pipe in my yard that I would like to attach to, but it is slightly too large for the clamps. Well on second thought, a bolt going through the larger clamp would not match up to the second clamp holding the smaller pipe for the dish. Dog gone it. It is a good strong pipe. Have no idea why the previous owners had it in the yard but it is buried deep, about 4 ft. tall and is incredibly strong. I kinda think it was there for Christmas decorations, but can’t imagine what kind of Christmas ornament or decoration would need something so strong. I have been playing with the idea of spot welding angle iron to larger pipe to hold smaller pipe, but this would deffenitly be UGLY. Good thing I live in the country.

would the larger clamp be too large for the smaller pipe? Or you could always drill more holes in one side of the large clamp to match the span of the bolts of the small clamp.

I used two sets of a mast-to-mast mounting kit available at Amazon. They do not weigh a whole lot but are really strong.

Well,
my receiver turns on and appears to be working, but I just realized the motor is not working and my sat finder wont even turn on. It appears the receiver is sending no signal to sat. I checked all the cables. Could anyone give me a recommendation on a receiver? I want to get the N. American sats and OTA. I guess that is with the wifi connection? I can't afford the upgrade on my internet right now, but I do want that available on my receiver. I don't know why the OTA can't be picked up without the internet, but oh well.

The LNB power may be turned off in the receiver's installation menu. Check that the LNB power setting is set to Automatic or 13/18. If the LNB power is set on, use a voltage tester to see if the coax cable at the LNBF is reading 13Vdc on a vertical transponder and 18Vdc on a horizontal transponder.

You do not need an internet connection to receive OTA (Over The Air) channels. Only need a terrestrial TV antenna and a TV (or STB receiver) with an ATSC tuner.

Hello Titanium. The LNB is on Auto. You lost me at voltage tester.:) I have been thinking this receiver was low on power. No matter what my meter said nothing ever changed with the receiver. I have not tried much with it in a few days. I ordered another dish a few days back and hope when it comes in and I can actually set the dish correctly it will pick something up.
I don't live close enough to a city to pick up anything with an antenna, I have tried. We also have mountains all around us, but I get Dish network and so I figure I'm far back enough to pick up for FTA. Besides, I was able to pick them up years ago, when I lived closer to the hills.

Amazon product ASIN B01ISAMUA6A voltage tester will indicate if power is present on the coax. One probe touches the outside of the f-fitting and the other probe touches the center stinger wire. Set the meter dial to DC 20v range. the meter should display 13 volts DC with the receiver on a vertical transponder and display 18volts DC with the receiver on a horizontal transponder.
