Hi folks. I found this forum while searching for a way to accomplish a particular setup inside of my office. We are a Dish Network subscriber with a fairly standard VIP 222K receiver. Basically it has been setup and working great for a couple of years now. We have an HDMI out going to one TV that is close by. The cable from the wall that feeds the receiver is, I think, bi-directional and feeds yet another small TV on someones desk in another suite in our office. Basically, I want to split the signal out into another coax plug in for a new TV we installed in a downstairs suite. We are completely OK with only having one channel at a time shared across the other TVs that are not connected via the HDMI.
I bought a couple of splitters at Radio Shack that I though might work and have tried every single combo I can think and can never get signal to one of the flatscreens via coax. Below are pictures of what we have:
Here is the first connection from the wall jack incoming from the dish on the roof:
That then splits into two different other splitters as seen here:
Those splitters then plug into the back of the receiver:
So, at what connection do I add a splitter, and what kind of splitter do I even use? Is this even possible? Sadly, a coax cable is all we have stretching from this area to the other floor so no other connection type is possible.
Thanks all!
Greg
