Hi guys,
I had a bud years ago before digital and moved to directtv when that came out. Recently I was given a Nfusion HD FtA receiver which peaked my interest in FTA. I purchased a 6' fortec star dish to go on the satellite pole in my yard left over from the old bud. I also ordered a gbox v3000, a polar mount, 24" linear actuator, and a bsc621 lnbf.
Now I assembled the dish and mounted it to the pole. I assembled the polar mount in the stationary position and I have not unboxed the gbox 3000 or the actuator yet. I wanted to get a signal first.
I checked and the pole is plumb on all sides. I checked and the polar mount is mounted plumb to the pole and tightened facing my true south satellite which is 79w amc5.
Now I live in Miami florida 33189 zipcode I checked geosatfinder.
I positioned the dish facing 181 degrees with a compass and used a protractor to set the elevation on the dish to about 60 degrees. I have my reveiver set for amc5 and I set the lnb with 22khz on and lo of 107600. I have the bsc621 not the universal one.
My problem is my receiver shows a signal meter of 45. Thats as high as I can get it and I have tried for days. My dish has no markings for elevation or azim. And the bsc621 has no markings for focal depth.
Does anyone have the fortec star 180cm dish with the bsc621, I am deperate for a sanity check or some pictures or something? I am at a complete loss at this point.
thanks for all your help!!!!
