Why didn't MI5 do a better job of protecting Abbey? He is tall enough to be in range for kick boxing. Didn't Abbey carry pepper spray and a stun gun?

Instead of Abby leaving I still say Bishop should be the one that leaves with a Bullet to the Head just like KATE did and Gibbs wife also.

IS it me or do you think that BISHOP will end up being the team leader in the last season of the show taking over from GIBBS? CBS is likely to do that just to spite the fans who hate Bishop's character.

All I can say is I stopped watching NCIS NO in the middle of last weeks episode when they told her to stay in her own apt and left wimpy there to guard her because at that point any resemblance to reality abandoned what was left of the series. No one in their right mind would have left here there so if NCIS starts down that road of irrational behavior, like putting Bishop in charge, I'll be outta there before the commercial break.

As long as Sean Murray is Donald Belissarios step son I know his character is safe, but he needs someone to play off him. Ducky & Abby besides Sean are the last of the originals, without them there just isn't a show..

Sean Murray is not an original ... (if thats what you were implying) McGee started in season 2 or 3.
Ducky, Gibbs and Abby are it at this point.

Sean Murray (McGee) first appeared in Season 1 Episode 7 "Sub Rosa". That to me makes him an original cast member.

I don't consider him an original, he wasn't there at the start of the show, he's not an original.

I read online that DUCKY will be back next season since he negotiated a better contract to his liking. So at least he will be there ,even if Abby won't.

Remember this show is about one thing. The Gibbs character. So the man calling the shots is not the writers, nor the producers, nor CBS. It is Mark Harmon.

If he thinks the "all the women in my life get killed, oh woe is me" storyline is built up with yet another female death, that is what will happen. The fact that there are two more episodes after this with the cryptic titles of "Fallout" and "Date With Destiny" do not bode well for her.

I would put the %ages at this:

Abby dies. 50%.
Abby is reduced to some sort of reduced state and deeply conflicted Gibbs and others mention visiting her at the rest home once or twice a season. 20%
Abby is the target of the hitman and must go into witness protection. 10%
The whole health thing is just to gain ratings, is resolved early in the episode, and she accepts some Abby personality fitting job, freeing her to show up on LA and NO when the ratings sag. 20%
That this has anything to do with Bishop. 0% Dude, let it go.
