TV6 on Friday became the first broadcast station in the Upper Peninsula to go high definition on cable.
Viewers with an H-D television subscribing to Charter Cable and their H-D tier can now get TV6 on Channel 785 in high definition.
That means when NBC provides high definition programming--mostly in prime time and on major sporting events--subscribers will see perfectly clear and crisp video.
For the last year and a half, that same high definition signal has been available over the air through an antenna.
