The final four teams in the NBA Playoffs are very closely matched, and all four teams are playing well, with the result ( trying to avoid spoilers for DVR viewers ) of two extremely close games, with exciting finishes, in the Conference Finals which just started.

Each team has a top star with unique qualities - LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard and Carmelo Anthony - all of whom have had fine performances.

Once again, if you have ABC-HD, then any HD subscription has all the games in HD, and the quality on TNT, ESPN and ABC have all been pretty good so far, with excellent camerawork and good commentary teams.

There's even a puppet show (courtesy of Nike)...

I agree with everything you said except one thing. The TNT quality hasn't been so great. I saw a thread a few days ago about it. At some point in every game I watch, there ends up being chopiness during the game. Makes it hard to watch. As far as the quality of the games themselves, heck of a post season. I've been thoroughly entertained. :D

Oh, and that puppet show is quite entertaining also. :D

It might look bad on Dish Net, but looks fine on DTV.

It looks fine on Dish, he is referring to a problem they have had on TNT-HD at times where the motion becomes jerky - but it only happens for a few seconds here and there, and I have not noticed it over the past couple of games.

Sports pundit Tim Kawakami wrote yesterday:

...this NBA final four (Lakers, Nuggets, Magic, Cavs) is probably the best and most evenly-matched since 1988, when Magic and Kareem got their last title, but needed 7 games to get past the Tarpley-Aguirre Mavericks and 6 games to get past the developing Bad Boys (who ended Boston’s Bird era in ‘the 88 East finals and then won the ‘89 and ‘90 titles, by ending the Magic/Kareem Era).
I could be proven wrong. Maybe these series will go quickly and the teams will fade from historical credibility. But with the East only rising again after a long downturn and with major significant players like LeBron, Carmelo and Dwight Howard in the mix, and with Kobe going after his first non-Shaq ring, I think we’re seeing the most substantial NBA semis in 21 years.

TNT quality is really bad, as far as I'm concerned; especially with the lip syncing that is absolutely horrible.

Anybody getting the MGM HD preview on channel 98?
