NBA Off Season

Heard the essay on the way home, very poignant, and heartfelt.I don't see how anyone could blame him for going home.Imho he needs to bring the trophy home too, to finish the story.

As I've mentioned before, I always thought he'd return as did salsa but not this soon. I figured we still had 2-3 more years with the guys. Disappointed? YEP. Burning jerseys mad at him? Not at all, no one should be. I always thought that was ridiculous.

Right now he's got a good core of young players on the team. There's just 2 pieces away from being serious contenders IMO as long as the air conditioning works.

Anywho... now its going to get interesting... Melo is rumored to go to the Bulls. Bosh to the Rockets after they dump Jeremy Lin to the Lakers. Pau Gasol is being courted by the Knicks. Wade, I believe will stay with Miami until he retires.

I loved that he penned an essay instead of a television special. The essay seems genuine. I'm happy for Cleveland sports fans they need a winner, and I think there's no reason the Cavs can't win the east this year. If they can get Kevin Love they could even do better, maybe.

I feel for the actual Heat fans, like Rey and Salsa who were here posting about the Heat pre-LeBron. It's hard as a fan to go from perennial contender to also-ran.

Who don't I feel for is that pompous ass who wears 10 pounds of product on his head, Pat Riley, nice speech it really helped.

I'm also wondering if #3 would think about going somewhere else to take a lesser role, he's going to have to carry the Heat now. I'm not sure how he can hold up being "the man".

Wasn't the purpose of the new CBA to break up the big 3 in Miami & to insure that nothing like that ever happens again? The Heat should go after Luol Deng & pattern their team now after the San Antonio Spurs. Instead of going after superstars in the free agency market(exception Luol Deng),they should spread the wealth around strong supporting players.

According to ESPNs Skip Bayless, Lebron wanted a couple of more years with Wade and Bosh/'Melo...family wanted to leave now. Not surprising... and figure that was the case.

Heat fans behaving for the most part. I'm sure there will be an idiot or two but nothing like what was seen in Cleveland. People are hurt which is understandable but I'm hearing a lot of appreciation for the last 4 seasons for LeBron and the Big 3 that is no more.

Thanks Hart. They come and go and seldom stay forever. To say I happy for the fans...I am 50-50 on that. Most AGREED with Gilbert and now, those SAME fans are buying "Fore6iven" t-shirts by the boat load. Talk about fare weather fans.

The Heat will be insignificant for a couple years until the next BIG free agent list and they will be right back in the mix. As far as the guy you hate, I gotta say, he is the biggest team player I have ever seen. He took LESS for putting the team together, GAVE the team to Lebron and opted out of $40 million for 2 seasons. NOBODY I see in the near future will sacrifice what he has to bring championships to his "adopted home town". Not with today's player.

He will get a 2 year deal for about $12-$15 million as a thank you and they will MAYBE win about 35-40 games for the next couple of years and then retire.

CLASS ACT on your behalf Hart....:thumbup

The purpose was to avoid to a forming of a Big 3 AGAIN....AND to punish those who did. The charge for the lockout, yep, you guessed it...Dan Gilbert. Deng is a broken down 35+ year old that does not merit the $13mil+ he wants.

It's also kind of interesting to see what Bosh can do in Houston. He doesn't have to be a big or a rim protector. He can do what he does best, mid range jump shooter and defend athletic forwards.

But I see Pau Gasol might take less to go to San Antonio, if he does they could be even scarier than they were last year.

-Kudos to the Heat fans for keeping it classy (not surprising considering the two Heat fans on this site)
- LeBron has definitely matured since "The Decision"- kudos to him
- Dan Gilbert just may be the biggest hypocrite on the planet. Because of that (and NOT LBJ), the Cavs have become IMO, impossible to root for

I'm ok with it. This off-season has been all about over paid contacts. At least we have the chance to be a playoff team unlike Cleveland without LBJ. Houston is bummed right now.
