NBA Off Season

And with NO EXPERIENCE in the head coach and NO ONE of playoffs experience in the front office to handled what it takes to win that the championship level... IF he leaves, it would be the OLD Cleveland Cavs part deux....

Agree... you NEED an experienced coach at the bare minimum.

While it's not as exciting as trying to figure out where LeBron,Carmelo,Dwayne Wade,or Chris Bosh will end up,where do you think Luol Deng will end up? I'm going to go with the Houston Rockets, especially if they don't get Bosh. My back-up choice is that he'll go back to the Bulls.

Ouch!

Again, point is, you build through the draft! When you have Jordan and Pippen on your team, and you surround them with a strong supporting cast... you're not doing too bad!

I truly apologize, it was not meant in disrespect. ALL teams try to build through the draft. The teams you mentioned, like I said, their CORE might be through the draft, but if you see their history, more than half of their teams consists of trades and free agents. Ever since free agency, very few teams consist of more than 50% of their teams being built through the drafts. You do not have enough picks to do as well anymore.

IF the Heat lose Lebron, I think they will give in a little to his $$ and sign him for approx. $12m a season. IF BOTH leave... then I am stumped!

Dude..please..I enjoy our discussions so no need to ever apologize.

Reading some NBA news tonight..am more convinced now than ever that Lebron is staying put in Miami. He's basically using "the decision 2.0" to pressure Riley into improving the team asap.

Gotta feel for the Cavs fan base. If they hated Lebron before, next visit is going to be interesting.

I sort of do and sort of don't. I do because one of my very best friends are BIG time fans of Ohio sports. Those Cleveland fans, especially the Browns, have gone through hell. I don't because they brought it on themselves. They have allowed the media to eat their brains...BOTH times. At NO POINT has Lebron said A WORD about whether he was going back to Cleveland or not. Not once. The issue has been FROM DAY ONE, whether he was RETURNING to Miami. Period.

Look, everyone down here KNEW back in 2010 he would NEVER retire and Miami Heat. Would be nice, hell yeah. Was it probable? Slime and none. We were planning on 4 and hoped for 6...get us 3-5 championships and he can retire into the Cleveland sunset. Miami fans are not know to be basketball savvy, but after the burn job by the Marlins, they know that you gotta savor when your teams are winning because it may not last very long.

Lebron has announced he's going to cleveland via SI. I enjoyed the last 4 years here with the guy winning championships, see ya. May the dominoes fall now in the NBA.

I gotta say that after reading his essay to SI, I really can't be mad at the guy. Yes of course I'm not happy because we not only lost the best player in the world, but we're going to lose other pieces as well. But, reading him say the things he said about Miami and how he needed to come down here for many reason does show some appreciation for what the organization down here did for him and his career. He wants to transfer that kind of structure to Cleveland, his home.
Like my friend above mentioned, thanks Lebron. I hope most of the fans down here can behave with some class and move on.

Can't really fault the guy for wanting to go home. He'll probably gain more respect for it than if he went elsewhere.
Bringing a championship to Cleveland would probably cement his legacy

The ONLY weasel is Lebron's agent who from day 1, he stated his job was to return him to Cleveland.
Yeah it's pretty well known his agent never wanted him to come down here in the first place. I just hope James is doing what he wants and not what the others want him to do.
