NBA League Pass and NBA TV Free Preview 1/19 - 1/25

hi there's a free preview of NBA League Pass this week (channels 750-768) and they're throwing in NBA TV (channel 601) (to those who don't subscribe to Sports Pack). All games will be available in HD by using the -1 suffix

I noticed there's a couple of games starting this afternoon starting at 1, 2 and 3:30 pm Eastern. I guess its because of MLK day, though I've never heard of a NBA game played on a weekday afternoon.

Here's a question:

All 4 major sports now have their own channel. (MLB Network, NFL Network, NHL Network and NBA TV.)

Why are all available on the Choice Extra package except for NBA TV? Instead, in order to receive NBA TV you have to subscribe to the sports pack.

It is what they negotiated in the contract. My guess is on the renewal it will change.

NFLN and MLBN are on Choice actually. NHLN is the only one on Xtra, as well as Tennis, Speed and Golf.

ESPN Full Court was free last week now NBALP. i wonder if it has anything to do with Obama being a huge basketball fan
