NBA 2007-08 Season

#2 New Orleans vs. #7 Dallas- as I've mentioned earlier, the Hornets deserve a lot of credit for the year they've had. But in the end, I have a feeling that experience will win this series. Plus the Mavs seem to be meshing the last few weeks. Mavericks in 6

Bill,

Experience can be highly overrated. See last year's Heat.

Also, Dirk + Playoff Pressure: does not compute.

And I REALLY want the Hornets to win this series.

Anything to keep the NBA title out of the hands of those filthy Spurs. (The Hornets have owned the Spurs all year)

(I'd throw in Detroit, but they aren't quite so loathable as they were a few years back)

Here's my prediction:

New Orleand plays Boston in the NBA Finals; ratings will actually be decent. Then again, as long as there are no Spurs or Pistons, more people will care about the Finals.

You definetly have a point that experience can be overrated. I just think the Hornets are one year away from challenging for a title. Just a hunch I have. Also, I've thought all year and i'm not gonna change it now: the Lakers are coming out of the West. And I think the only team capable of keeping the Lakers from the Finals- you're not gonna like this, Sabres- is the Spurs. Mind you, I don't want this to happen, it's just the way I realistically see it.

I agree with your Lakers thought. The Lakers mentally have a tough time with the Spurs/Duncan/Robinson/big men.

Edit in most cases the schedule that was tenative because not enough west coast teams are playing in these games. More early games and games at 7pm and 9:30pm eastern.
ESPN - Tentative 2008 NBA Playoff Schedule - NBA

schedule so far looks like this, no tv info due to the tenative schedule has to be adjusted due to the lack of west coast teams and to many teams from eastern and central time zones.

Ok, I think we are getting carried away with the schedule posts, lets keep them in the thread of that sport please. It clutters up all the other posts with all these threads.

Thanks for compiling this schedule....

On another note, the NBA season drags on way too long IMO. I just can't understand why they went to a 7 game series for the first round playoffs!

I disagree with your cluttering up thought. You'd rather have a post about a death at a stadium? No wonder this forum was dead before dbsforums. DBSforums people are keeping Scott's sports site livable. :) This forum is as busy as it's ever been since DBSforums has been down. There's actually been decent topics instead of general sports talk found on your local radio station. I'm just posting fact, not wanting to start an argument.

With all due respect, I have to agree with Mike. When I started posting the NBA daily schedules here last week I was welcomed with open arms. I asked if it was wanted/needed, and the vets/mods responded very positively. No offense, but I'm going to look for a different site. I just think it's strange to put daily MLB/NBA schedules in a season long sticky that you have to search for (a particular day's schedule). One of the main reasons that drew me to this site was MikeI's daily MLB schedule- which was a MUST SEE everyday for baseball fans in DBSforums. I thought I could contribute with the NBA schedules. If they are deemed as "clutter" by the powers that be- that's fine- I just wish I was told that from the start. I hope I see people like MikeI, MShaw, Sabres, and Sandra in the future at other sites. As far as this site goes, I sincerely wish the mods nothing but the best with this site.

a thread of just tv schedules for league is one thing, but combining with other stuff to search through is wrong. I agree with both Bill and Mike.

I'm not posting them here anymore myself. Rick's backhaul site and the MLBonTV yahoogroup will still have them.

I don't who Ramy is as I've never seen him around before, but schedules were posted here at one time a few years ago and no one and I mean no one liked them. They wanted to talk general radio sports talk here like an ankle injury or Kevin Love going to the NBA. That's why this sports site was dying/dead/boring/slow. No tv related info at all. Not even articles. Not my loss. Back to the scoreless Rockies game on EI... :) C-ya around on the MLB list.

Oh, and a list of games it riviting. Come on give me a break.

it generates tv discussions, articles and questions about feeds and upcoming games.

Yeah but do we need a separate thread for each and every day? I agree having individual schedule threads makes navigating through the rest of the sports section rather difficult. We should continue to keep the schedule threads tucked within 1 thread. Maybe a compromise can be to create a "NBA Schedule" thread, which is separate from the "NBA 2007-2008 Season" thread? How does that sound?
