What slot do you see your C's getting?

BTW...

You have a better chance of seeing that girl on my arm than the Hawks do of winning a single game.

If that's the case I'm sure you're rooting for the Hawks to win a game. :)

The Bruins have the Garden on Sat. night (even if Montreal ends it Thurs......which I think they will.........NBA has to schedule game 1 before that). Therefore, the Celtics will start their series on Sunday. My guess is the game at 7 or 8 ET on TNT. I think the Lakers will get the ABC game (3 ET) on Sunday, and Wizards-Cavaliers will be the ABC game on Saturday.

Eastern Conference first round matchups are now official:

#1 Boston vs. #8 Atlanta

#2 Detroit vs. #7 Philadelphia

#3 Orlando vs. #6 Toronto

#4 Cleveland vs. #5 Washington

I'm setting an over/under on combined losses for the two series #1 and #2 seeds at 1.

Magic/Raptors could be interesting (Bosh v. Superman), and with Agent Zero back, the LeBrons could be in for some trouble.

It's a joke, Bill.

In reality, if they don't lose any games by less than 10, that will be a miracle.

BTW, speaking of the C's, did you hear about the free-food giveaway at Isiah's last stand?

I know you were joking.........I was too. :)

Yes, i did see the free food giveaway at MSG. I'm a little surprised that some of the food didn't end up on Isiah's lap. :hungry:

I think Philly will give Detroit a battle. MAYBE take it to 6 games....but more than likely five.

It says here that Washington beats Cleveland. The Wiz are getting healthy at the right time and Cleveland has zero depth (as a Celtics fan, I want the Cavs to win the series, Washington seems to have Boston's number.......20% of the Celtics losses this season are to the Wiz).

Orlando should have little trouble disposing of Toronto. Magic in 4 or 5 (Orlando is a very solid road team).

Celtics should barely break a sweat in dispatching Atlanta.

Since I predicted KU to win it all in the tourney, I'll try and press my luck again.

Mark this down, guys:

Spurs will get KO'd in the first round.

I guarantee it.

Hornets win their division. (122-94... ouch.)

Take THAT, defending NBA champs!

Congrats to the Hornets, what a great story! Chris Paul and David West are as good a 1-2 punch as there is in the NBA. The Hornets can do no worse than the #2 seed in the West .

What irony.

The Lakers and Hornets achieve their goals tonight in routs, yet the best game of the night was between two teams who are going nowhere- an OT game between the Bobcats and Nets.

If a thrilling game was played between two crappy teams that aren't making the playoffs, does it make a sound?

I'm so mad that my Bulls didn't make the playoffs... the only team more disappointing than them this year were the Heat. Maybe that game was cursed, since those teams faced off in the playoffs last year. Actually they swept them.

I was shocked that Chicago was that bad this year. The Bulls have way too much young talent to not make the playoffs. I expect that when they get their coaching situation straightened out, they'll be back in the mix next year.

some implications for tonight's games:

Lakers and Hornets are set as #1 and #2 seeds respectively, and one will play Dallas, the other will play Denver. That will be determined tonight in the Hornets-Mavs and Grizzlies-Nuggets games.

* Dallas wins OR Denver loses: Mavs get #7 seed and play New Orleans in first round.

* Denver wins AND Dallas loses: Nuggets get #7 seed and the Hornets, Mavs fall to #8 and get the Lakers.

The 3, 4, 5, and 6 seeds are all up for grabs tonight.

* The winner of the Jazz-Spurs game will get the #3 seed and play either Houston or most likely Phoenix in the first round.

* Even if the Jazz lose tonight they are guaranteed no lower than the #4 seed (by virtue of winning the Northwest Division). However, the Rockets AND Suns would both have to lose for the Jazz to get homecourt advantage in the 4-5 matchup.

Dallas wins........... so 2 matchups in the West are set:

#1 LA Lakers vs. #8 Denver- could be entertaining at times, but in the end Lakers have too much for the Nuggets. Lakers in 5

#2 New Orleans vs. #7 Dallas- as I've mentioned earlier, the Hornets deserve a lot of credit for the year they've had. But in the end, I have a feeling that experience will win this series. Plus the Mavs seem to be meshing the last few weeks. Mavericks in 6
