I would imagine I was not the only one who noticed the fans disguised as empty seats.
Perhaps NASCAR may look into ending this event.
To be frank, the racing isn't all that good.
Move the date to a short track.

With less than half the seats filled and sagging tv ratings, from a strictly business standpoint it's difficult to keep the event at Indy.

I've noted plenty of empty seats at all the races this year and last.Why?Nobody's got any money to burn anymore.

Three-time Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart was involved in a four-car wreck Monday night and left Southern Iowa Speedway in an ambulance. Stewart-Haas Racing announced that Stewart broke the tibia and fibula in his right leg and underwent surgery at a local hospital.

I watched a Sprint car race a couple weeks ago with him in it on Mav ...

I know he loves to race all cars but he should have known this was a possibility in those types of cars. They just aren't as safe as stock cars.

That sucks. I am not a fan of Tony but I don't like to see anyone hurt that bad.

I hated to hear about this for Tony. It will throw some confusion into the Chase and open the door for a few guys. I also wonder if sponsors might eventually have more of a say in off track activities. Heard on SIRIUS that his sponsors thought he was a "lock" for the Chase and aren't pleased with the events that have taken place. He would definitely been a threat to win Watkins Glen.
