NASCAR 2013 season

It was weird having 2 races on at the same time as the Busch errrr Nationwide was rained out last night so was on at 10:00 local time today...and was red flagged for an hour

The Cup Race? BORING!!!. But of course in the prerace they had to have a 10 minute thing on the whole JJ/Juan Chico restart from last week
The NW race was really good with Bayne winning. But during the red flag it was weird listening to the guys who lost crew members because of the rainout. Kenny Wallace lost his whole pit crew (was Stewarts IIRC) and his spotter. So the car owner was the spotter and (as Kenny put it) "A bunch of football players came over the wall"

You think this weeks race is boring, just wait for next week. Michigan is the ultimate boring race.

I was fortunate enough to meet him at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the year he was diving the Joe Gibbs Fed Ex machine. Great guy indeed and very friendly. I remember him telling fans that he had to have a cushion in the seat due to being so small (he did look like a smaller guy but I think he was just joking and having fun). I always wanted to see him be successful in Sprint Cup but both ventures were start up teams which may have played into it. I'll miss watching him and wish the best for his family.

45 on the entry for the Nationwide race in Road America (a FOUR mile road course)...ugh!

Not a big fan of road races but I always seem to watch them anyway. Kinda wish the regulars didn't use the ringers...kinda defeats the idea of variety.

You don't see the Top teams running ringers out there, unless they have a seat left in the stable.

If you notice in the last oh, say 5-10 years, you'll see that the regulars are getting much better at road races and the ringers are no sure thing, take a look where the ringers finish most of the races.

You'll find a few up there, but most are not.

Didn't really mean the top teams using them. Just the few that are there in other drivers places. Agreed that it isn't as bad as it used to be. Still not a fan but that is just me. I know a lot of people love the road courses.
Really happy for Truex and MWR for their win today though!
