Vickers will drive after that

Joe Gibbs Racing announces that Brian Vickers will take over behind the wheel of the #11 FedEx Toyota Camry in the Sprint Cup Series for the injured Denny Hamlin starting on April 13 at Texas Motor Speedway. It was previously released that Mark Martin would handle the duties behind the wheel for the #11 Joe Gibbs Racing team while Denny Hamlin recovered from injury. Martin will drive the car in Martinsville, but Vickers will now take over the duties beginning in Texas.

Isn't Martin running a certain number of races already scheduled ?
Maybe one of these is one he's already suppose to run.

Vickers would have run the races that Mark Martin wouldn't have for the 55 team (Martinsville was to have been one of them)
Vickers will drive the #11 at Texas, Kansas, Richmond & Talladega

Mikey Waltrip will drive the 55 at Dega

44 cars on the entry list for Martinsville
Mike Bliss (19) needs to get in on speed. Scott Speed is next in line if Bliss makes it on speed

Hopefully they have the snow plowed off the track and infield. The area received up to 4" of snow today.
I go to this one most years. Where we park is a grass field that is very hilly. I'm thinking not this time. It's probably a mud bog.
Unfortunately, I am not going to this event. Martinsville is a fun event.

Yes it is. I have been there once.

Man that was a hard hit to the wall....Kids said daddy the cars batteries blew up.

I wish they go back there again for the Cup or Nationwide...

Wonder what will happen to Ron Hornaday. Under the caution with 4 laps to go he ran "Bubba" Wallace into the wall. Ironically Bubba drives the #54 for Kyle Busch. Yep the same truck # who a couple years ago ran Hornaday into the wall at Texas under caution (with Busch driving). But this time Hornaday didnt go full speed at Wallace.

I also wish they would go back to the Rock...North Wilkesboro would be cool too! Hard to say if they will do anything to Hornaday. They aren't all that consistent with their penalties.

Nascar is too good for North Wilkesboro. Still mad they left Wilkesboro years ago.I mean come on,Junior Johnson, one of the founding fathers of Nascar ran those roads and tracks.

imo if NAscar is to survive, they will at some point have to return to their redneck roots.Personally I have all but quit watching, the empty seats and declining ratings indicate I'm not alone.
