Nascar 2011 Season

What was Richard thinking ? Probably tired of all the smartass BS Busch pulls.

Sources: Kyle Busch in another scrap

Kyle Busch and 65-year-old car owner Richard Childress were involved in a physical confrontation after Saturday's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway, sources told ESPN.

NASCAR spokesman Kerry Tharp confirmed they are looking into it.

Childress approached Busch and struck him with his fist in the garage area after the race, according to the Charlotte Observer.

The fight was broken up and insults were exchanged before Childress put Busch in a headlock and hit him again, the newspaper said.

Busch finished sixth, a spot behind Richard Childress Racing driver Joey Coulter after the two had a spirited late battle for position. Busch drove up beside Coulter's truck following the race and tapped it.

When asked what happened between the two, Coulter joked that, according to the spotters, Busch was just congratulating him.

Bill Janitz, a spokesman for Busch, told The Associated Press in an email that "there won't be any comment tonight." A phone message left for Richard Childress Racing seeking comment was not immediately returned.

RCR driver Clint Bowyer won the Trucks event to snap Busch's three-race winning streak.

Busch got into a scrape with another RCR driver, Kevin Harvick, at Darlington in early May.

The incident occurred after Regan Smith won his first Sprint Cup race. Busch parked behind Harvick on pit road, and the two cars sat there for almost a minute before Harvick climbed out.

Harvick then approached Busch's car and took a swing at him. As Harvick swung, Busch drove away, pushing Harvick's car into the inside retaining wall on pit road.

Both drivers were fined $25,000 and put on four weeks probation by NASCAR.

Jr. hasn't managed to win one yet, but he's definitely running up front (top 10) again :up

He mentioned that he needs to start qualifying better ....
He also need to quit making some stupid mistakes as well.

That said, I'm happy he's running much better this year.

fun fact....there is a tie between 2 drivers for best overall finishing position overall for the year

Jimmy & Junior (this was after last week)

Junior is due...spinning out on his own didnt help

That goes under the "Stupid Mistakes" I mentioned above !
That and the missing his pits earlier in the year, hitting the Commitment cone, Speeding on Pit Road .... just dumb stuff.
Granted alot of drivers do the same things, but eliminating these type of things would help .

The track has a lot of cracks that they fill in and they said when it gets hot those spots are very slick. Looks like he hit one of them

thing to remember is this is the 1st race during the heat there. They usually had the race in the fall when it was cooler

I missed the race for the most part, caught the end though.
Jr. with another good run, top 10 !

What did Kyle do today, I heard alot of talk about him in the Post race stuff, but no one actually said what happened.

edit:

LONG POND, Pa. -- All NASCAR had to see was Kevin Harvick shoving Kyle Busch down the frontstretch early in Sunday's race.

Close to each other from the outset, the drivers had raced each other hard, with Harvick repeatedly crowding Busch as they battled for position. But the last straw was the push down the frontstretch, when Busch broke out of line, and Harvick followed him to the inside, glued to the bumper of Busch's No. 18 Toyota.

Get your Jeff Gordon gear!

NASCAR warned both teams to stop fooling around and race, a warning that shouldn't have been necessary, given that both drivers are on probation through June 15 for a post-race confrontation May 7 at Darlington.

That brought an indignant response from Busch, who told crew chief Dave Rogers that only one driver needed the warning.

"The 29 [Harvick] is all over me," Busch said.

Rogers tried to calm his driver.

"Keep your composure in that race car, bud," Rogers radioed to Busch. "I've lost mine about four times already."
