I installed this receiver just before Thanksgiving with only one feed from my dish as it replaced an SD box to which the installer only ran one cable since that's all it required. In the past few days, I had the opportunity to to run another line to it and connected it to the box and dish.
When I check signal strengths for the individual transponderss, I get good numbers on tuner 2. They are comparable to tuner 1, however the general signal meter shows Tuner 1 acquired and Tuner 2 not. When I look at System Info, Tuner 1 is listed as "SAT, Record" and Tuner 2 is listed as "SAT" only (ie, no 'record'). If I try to record something and change channels it says I have to cancel my recording to change channels.
Any ideas? I know this box has a dual receiver (2 tuners), but it is not working (or I can't get it to). I have reset the receiver and even downgraded from the latest CE back the the NR just in case.
