my 10 week 522 up-date

So far so good!
First let me say this is a real cool piece of equipment (Bugs and all). Dual tuner, record to either one and watch to either one, record to one and watch from the other while it is still recording, Pretty much any thing you want to do. Never had a DVR before, they sure beet my VCR.
Anyway, I do experience some of the bugs posted such as audio and video sink problems, audio drop outs and pops, but nothing bad enough to give it up.
The only problem that pissed me off and it only happened once, was during one of the daily disk maintenance all my recordings got deleted.
Hopefully it wont happen again! The only other thing that I could not handle is the so called guide of death!! I havent experienced that yet.

Well, anyone who's never had a PVR before will probably be pretty damn happy with the 522. Anyone who's had a Tivo before will feel like they're taking a step backwards.

Imagine never having to worry about the possibility of losing all your recordings (if that happens to me I will throw my 522 out the window). Imagine watching recordings without any audio or video skipping. That is what I miss about my Tivo.
