I hope they never have more than a plus one after the bowl games. March madness is a great tournament but the regular season in basketball is pretty much pointless.

In college football, every game already is a playoff game. If LSU beats Florida, Florida is probably out. V-V and LSU is probably out. With playoffs, see you in late December for the rematch.

That was a nice theory and all until a 2 loss LSU team won the NC and Oklahoma won the Big XII despite losing to Texas.

But you STILL have to win TO MEET in December......I really don't know HOW it will kill rivalries....

The rematches Florida and Florida St had in bowl games didn't seem to dampen their rivalry.

Playoffs will destroy not only the bowl system, but the greatest regular season in the world.

How? The teams are still fighting for slots, which means winning their conference championship. Just look at the Big XII to see how every games there counts. Almost every conference (or division) was won by a single game. If anything, it makes more of the games important instead of less.
