I just purchased a Aspen Eagle S4180-Gx+ 5x8 multiswitch and will be hooking it up to a 3 LNB system (oval dish) this weekend.
At the moment, I have 2 tivo HD boxes hooked in straight to the dish (to the built-in multiswitch) and everything works fine.
I am assuming that all I need to do is disconnect the cables at the dish for the tivo boxes, connect them to the outputs on the new multiswitch, and then get 4 short cables and connect the dish outputs to the multiswitch..
When connecting the dish to the multiswitch, does it matter which cable goes into which input on the new multiswitch?? And if they need to be hooked up to specific inputs, how do I tell which are which coming off the dish?
Thanks
