Anybody in TV land know what happened to MSNBC? It is gone from 15W for North America after being there for years. I think their European tp is still active.

It's usually in the mux on 72w Ku too. Their ratings have been so low lately though they may be cutting back on operating expenses and the feed on 15W may have bit the dust as a result.

Unfortunately, we're outside the 72W footprint up here for a 1m dish. I like some of the hosts on MSNBC shows.

Sorry, I didn't look at your location but yeah, I can see why 72 would be a problem for ya because I can't get a smell of anything past 37.5W due to dish travel imitations and a group of large white oak trees that I don't want to cut down.

I noticed that MSNBC was gone last month. I can watch it on 72W as it is my most southern satellite and I receive very good signal quality on the NBC MUX.
All that said I can't stand to watch that ultra liberal dribble that is spouted on MSNBC. Any TV station that gives Al Sharpton his own show is not for me.

I do like that there are times that the NBC MUX has CNBC on and I can watch/listen to the stock market reports while I work around the garage.
?

I get CNBC another way. Everytime I flip it on, it seems there is a show explaining the details of some murder true story. A good catch phrase for them would be "Money & Murder - more to see...on CNBC!" As with Press TV, I like the different viewpoints of presenters on MSNBC. You gotta hear the story from all angles, then draw your own conclusions. I'll keep checking to see if MSNBC shows up again on 15w.

Really? You're receiving now? That's the usual frequency that I've been monitoring for several days with zero signal. Used to be a solid 60% when I received it last. My other tps on 15W are 65% right now.

Added: A solid downpour just started. Everything gone to 0 now. After the weather clears, I'll play around varying my frequency parameters up and down a little.

Press TV the Iranian news channel ?
I was in the understanding it was pulled down from a number of western satellites due to sanctions imposed on Iran,
At least it was pulled off Hispasat @30w and G19 @97w Ku.
If it is still there I for sure would like to be able to watch it again on FTA. :popcorn

Those SR 45000 muxes are a South American DBS service. I don't know why the beam covers North America, but they're probably OK with Press TV since they don't sell to the United States. (But then, I don't know what the heck the problem with having it on Hispasat was...)

They're also usually all encrypted except for a how-to-use-your-receiver channel, by the way.

9 channels are now ITC on that mux. It's worth your effort to swing over to 15W. But...you gotta have a receiver that can handle SR 45000.

Those mainstream media view points, aren't even close real world view points! If you want to hear the real story, shut off mainstream media! Then go search for it on your own.
