are there any potential problems with mounting an ota antenna above a motorized fta system and what is a good meter to get for aligning a dish
God it doesn't rain in your neck of the woods.I have done it on my motorized system, which is located about 10 feet above the ground on my shed roof. Some considerations:
-Naturally, you want to keep the OTA antenna high enough above the dish to prevent blockage of signal to the dish.
-Make sure your mount is rock steady. 2 3/8" NPRM or better highly recommended.
Here's a pic of my setup. The OTA antenna is mounted to a separate 1 5/8" pole, which is piggybacked onto the 2 3/8" pole with conduit clamps. Trick here is to make sure the motor stays LEVEL when you attach the secondary pole...
So why no rain loops.Oh it rains, quite a lot, actually. Just make sure you have all of your hardware well protected with a coat of primer
Nice example, but the dish in the picture is not motorized
I knew I'd get called out about that. I just wanted to share my vacation photos with people that would appreciate them more than my wife does.
Yea, I was gonna let it slide, but I did notice several things:I knew I'd get called out about that. I just wanted to share my vacation photos with people that would appreciate them more than my wife does.
So why no rain loops.
