You can read more about it in the Rumor Alert thread.Has there be another announcement about three possible new HD stations? Scott said there would be an announcement later today. Did I miss it??

In a nutshell: QVC HD
BBC America HD
Investigation Discovery HD
None of them are available yet.
QVC HD.
Investigation Discovery is one of my favorite channels, but I'm not sure how much HD would improve it.
I hope they don't start making new HD "reality shows" to fill the schedule like the History Channel is doing. That really dilutes the reason for watching the channel.

Yeah, it would. It's too bad she's not on ID. Now I could see some benefit for Discovery Health going HD.Well, we could see Dr. G do a real time autopsy in HD, wouldn't that be cool.
HD improves everything.
Do a check switch then let it download if that doesn't work then call.
The software version has nothing to do with what programmimg you can view. She sent the receiver a "hit" which re-authorized programming. The biggest difference I've found between 618 and 621 is being able to name folders/group. And also, 621 may be the most current version, but all receivers don't have it yet. 2 out of 3 of mine do. They rollout the update gradually. Gives them time to check for bugs.Thanks. I tried a reboot first, but it didn't do anything. I wasn't sure how to do a 'check switch', but when I called Dish, it was one of the things the CSR had me do. After viewing several setup and diagnostic screens, she had me reboot and then sent a signal to install an update to the software (she advised to leave the box off for about 30 minutes, so I went out to lunch). The software was on version L618, and the bulletins she found indicated L621 is current. When I turned it back on later, it was still on version L618. However, MSNBC-HD is now available in the guide, so I guess we did something right. I also had to reload the Guide (approx 5 minute process), so I know there was a software re-load, even if a newer version didn't boot.

Sadly, by the time Discovery Health goes HD; it will be [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OWN:_The_Oprah_Winfrey_Network"]OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:OWN_Network.png" class="image"><img alt="OWN Network.png" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/73/OWN_Network.png/200px-OWN_Network.png"@@AMEPARAM@@en/thumb/7/73/OWN_Network.png/200px-OWN_Network.png[/ame].Yeah, it would.
