Monsters HD online petition

I agree with everything you said.

Ditto!

I'm also extremely pissed. I believe tonight is the world broadcast premiere of The Thing in HD. F*ckers!!!!

Heard on this on another board last week sometime - Can anyone confirm or deny that these channels are still being picked up by "illegal" subscribers? Just curious.

I think today Dish took them down so even if someone had access to them illegally, they don't now.

Even if they took them off, I dont think there is no chance of getting them back. If they work out a deal they may add some back. I would hope they could work together I know Voom needs Dish.

I am also mad that I didnt get to watch the Thing this week. I was looking forward to that when they posted the new schedule. I am really going to be hurting on Friday the 13th without the marathon they always do. I am really pissed.

I'm glad I DVRed all the stuff that I did. God forbid I have a hard drive failure, heh.

If Dish washes its hands of Voom which it seems like it has I don't doubt that D* will at least explore the possibility. This would again give D* a bigger advantage- more variety and set them apart further than they currently are from E*. I am sure D* would like to lock as many of us up as possible for 2+ years. I am reading this from people over the net that are much more knowledgeable than me about D* and E*.

Since Charlie can block Monster HD from getting picked up by anyone else, he doesn't need to worry about DirecTV picking them up while he strong arms voom into compliance or bankruptcy.

I read somewhere that the DISH/VOOM contract expires June 30, 2008. If this is true and VOOM rides out the next 45 days, VOOM would be available to other providers.

The DISH contract never prohibited VOOM from selling to other providers. VOOM simply never completed a deal with any domestic providers other than DISH and Cablevision. I have no idea why the earlier poster thinks DISH can block them from signing with anyone else.

But that date is when the CABLEVISION contract expires. The DISH contract originally ran for several years.

you guys should close this thread, cuz Voom is gone for good now, now there is room for more HD "SOON"

None of the people expressing this sentiment have explained where we'll get unedited, commercial-free HD movies, among other quality content offered by Voom. Where are these magical HD channels that are going to replace Voom?

Well maybe there are none. The point he is trying to make is that whether tis is good or bad ) and it is probably bad) it is how it is If people intend to just post in these threads till they get what they want there might not be an end (or much ofa purpose) to it.

It will be a long time before a channel like Monsters comes around for us horror fans. Some have tried but for various reasons none seem to take off (horror channel). For me the unedited/commercial free experience is what made this channel special. I probably wouldn't like this channel all that much if it wasn't unedited and free of commercials. Hopefully, we will have it again sometime/somewhere.

I was specifically referring to the "now there is room for more HD" sentiment. As if now that Voom is gone the heavens will open and give us a plethora of quality HD content.
