Baseball seriously changed the rules this year with thier making NO Days Off in the playoffs ...
Typically you have a day off for travel that allows your Top Starters to pitch more often .
The way they have no days off, its taxing teams rotation and bullpens.
No team is 4 Starting pitchers deep anymore.
Astros are making the most of thier 7 Rookie pitchers on thier staff.

Astros just put up a 4 spot in the top of the 5th to take a 4-1 lead in Game 6. Will they make history and join the 2004 Red Sox?

Except every team wants to have their best pitchers pitch and you don't get that with No days Off.
I posted after game 3 that the Astros looked out of it at that point as everything they were hitting (many were very hard hit as well) was hit right at people and the Rays with thier Defense don't need help.
Astros managed to win game 4, and since then,, thier hard hit balls have been finding holes once again ...
They look much more like the team I expected this season now.
It's really amazing how poorly they played during the season vs how well they are starting to play now.
They should wrap up tonights game shortly, up 7-2 ... late.
That brings us to the game I really didn't think would happen, GAME 7 ...
7-4 now, going to the 9th.
Except that they only had days off because they had to travel.

No travel aside, the part I don’t understand about this year’s postseason is the scheduling discrepancy between the two LCS’ and the World Series. Both LCS are playing 7 straight days and the World Series is going to be the standard off days after games 2 and 5. I wholeheartedly agree that with no travel there shouldn’t be 2 off days in the LCS, but why have them in the World Series? They should have compromised and have 1 off day in each series (after either games 3 or 4).

It just messes with the natural progression of your pitching staff.
Now your saying that there IS a day off in the WS ?
Does it come over a weekend ?
College football or NFL related ?
It’s like every other “normal” season. They’ll be two scheduled off days in the World Series- following Games 2 and Game 5. It should have been one off day for the LCS and one for the World Series, not 0 and 2.

What a STRANGE series the ALCS has been ...
The Rays won the first 3 games, then couldn't do anything as the Astros won the next 3.
Game 7 looks alot like the first 3 for the Astros ...
Just no spark for the Astros tonight while the Rays Do have the spark again.

World Series tonight. I think it’s going to be a great series, but in the end I think the Dodgers have a little too much firepower.

Looks like Mookie will be a large part of the Dodgers post season ....
I hope he hits about .500 and plays great Defense and the Dodgers lose ...

Not sure how they will do it this year, but last year I think they made it on a particular day (just 1 day I think and there was a time frame as well.)
