MLB 2013 Season

Now that the Sox have clinched the crucial, all important HFA, today's game is nothing but a scrimmage:

Ellsbury CF
Bogaerts SS
Ortiz DH
Napoli 1B
Carp LF
Middlebrooks 3B
Saltalamacchia C
McDonald 2B
Berry RF

Pitching: RHP Alan Webster

Look for the regulars to be subbed out in this one...

Wow........congrats to Henderson Alvarez pitching the 5th no-hitter in Marlins history!! He won it watching from the dugout in the bottom of the ninth, as the Marlins won on a two out wild pitch.

What is even funnier is that he won it ONDECK! He was standing there as dressing only as they wanted him right there if they won the game. Wild!

John Farrell leads the Red Sox to the best record in baseball and a 28 win turnaround from a year ago. Terry Francona leads the Indians to the postseason for the first time in years. How we doing today, Bobby Valentine?

Play-in game tomorrow night!!! Rays at Rangers.....winner advances to Cleveland Wednesday night...........winner of that advances to Boston Friday night

It's officially over. The long nightmare that will be known as the Los Angeles Angels' 2013 Season has mercifully come to an end. Is this the last time we will see Mike managing an Angels team?

At least we had the bright spot of Mike Trout's near-phenomenal Sophomore season. He was a joy to watch on a miserable team.

...and will be VERY weary to face a formidable, rested Red Sox line up!!!

I know the saying, "be careful what you wish for" and all that, but I would rather not play the Rays. Yes, the Sox were 12-7 against them this year, but their pitching can shut down a team in a short series.
