Mike Tyson fight on Netflix

CBS producing the game is not going to matter when it comes to if Netflix can keep up with the bandwidth or not. There was 0 issues with the feed going back to Netflix for the Tyson fight, nor the feed going from Netflix to DirecTV for bars. Nor will there be any with the feed going to OTA channels + CTV for the NFL games. Personally I think the Tyson fight will have more viewers worldwide and the NFL games will go out without a hitch. But we shall see..

For commercial bars and restaurants, it’s looking like there will not be an additional distribution deal with DirecTV Business for the Netflix Christmas games, leaving only EverPass w/ the UPShow platform… and it will cost extra as a PPV for casinos and sportsbooks while it’s complimentary for existing Sunday Ticket or Peacock Sports Pass subscribers to bars and restaurants

Aren't most bars and restaurants closed on Christmas Day? Except of course for those in places like Las Vegas I guess.

Some would be open just at night… but yeah casinos being open 24 hours including on Christmas day is part of the reason why they’re getting charged a PPV fee (thousands, possibly tens of thousands of dollars per casino) to show the 2 games

There is a bar and grill here thats open on Christmas and Thanksgiving. It gives people without families a place to go instead of being alone on the holidays. The owner (who is very cool) provides a free buffet too.

Plenty of bars open up on Christmas afternoon/evening. At least in population centers.
Most everything is open here (Orlando Metro Area-Kissimmee), because of the theme parks, the closer you get, more things are open, shopping, food, whatever.

A couple things guaranteed to be open around here on Christmas - actually 24/7 every day of the year - are the convenience stores and of course the interstate truck stops and travel centers.

The truck stop about 10 miles from us always had great food years back. We have not been there in quite a while though (prefer cooking at home). They have changed hands several times since we were so no idea how good things are today. Could be :hungry2 or 🤮
