My unit just quit beeping when I go to the motor progress and saving entry. It is now unplugged; then plugged back in.

Is there a way to menu up a colored button for sound, like on the signal bar button?

In fact; the video is now just freezing, no audio; with signal bar up, it shows picture,no sound, and norm picture; after unfreezing. 90 sig./71 qual.; and the beep!

Unit is showing overheated tuner problem. I'll unhook for 20 minutes. and check it again. This is Murphy's law!

Update: only 10 minutes unplugged

The unit was too warm; my air conditioning is required, the HDTV heats the whole house and the unit has been plugged in for 3 days.

I will not plug this unit into a old LNB; needs 18vdc applied all the time. Am I gonna make it a slave? I'll turn off the 18v/14v lnbf power, and supply it by fire...

Am i to drill many holes into the top of this box and see if can breath better.................................................................................................is not what i want to do.

UPDATE: Working fine!

I dont get why it would overheat

I had mine outside yesterday while I was checking out stuff on C-Band (my dish has to be ghetto moved). It was 100 out with heat index of 106 and it worked fine for the 3 hours I was out there in the garage. (this isnt the brightest move but hey wanted to see some C-band stuff) :)

We have tested the microHD in a hot box for 10 days at 130F.

Unless you have the unit sandwiched between two heat generators and all vents are blocked, I don't foresee any heat issues.
