Michael Bay's The Last Ship on TNT

Yeah, I hear you...I get sea-sick too...makes you feel like you have the flu...it's hideous. I too would be feeding the fish on a regular basis... ;)

That was about the weakest episode, and it was still pretty good, so you'll really enjoy the rest of the of S2! :)
While I love the ocean, I'm best on a sandy beach with a cold one in a cooler!

My journey in s2 continues today!

Yeah...and he said the portions were always so small that most of the guys were hungry most of the time...

So if I was on a naval vessel, the food would suck, I'd be hungry, but since the portions were so small, I'd be less likely to be heaving over the side of the ship. Good to know. :)

Oh yeah, you've got some really good (and sometimes rough) stuff ahead of you. Carefully savor each episode, because more won't be airing until June 2016...

According to my dad, when he and several others visited an aircraft carrier, the mess hall was huge, it was open 24/7, the food was really good and the portion sizes were decent. Don't know how things are in the Navy today, but in the mid-50s, it evidently varied widely (at least when it came to food) from ship to ship...

Unfortunately I was on an LHA, not quite as big (or nice) as the larger aircraft carriers. It still varies wildly.

Still making my way through the season, and loving every episode. Just watched Friendly Fire. So, so, good. Enjoying every last minute. Want to rush through the rest, but also want to take my time, knowing once I finish, I have months and months to wait.

Yeah, best to savor them, as the show won't be back until 06/2016...

It's hard though. At this point I just want to see where it ends up. And I know, from this thread, that something bad happens, or someone dies, but even with that spoiler, I am not sure who it is. :) And no, I don't want to know.

I was thinking after the last episode I watched that you could have a great debate about the morality of Dr Scott's action. She didn't need to kill Niels to get the lung tissue, but he so deserved to die. Yet, she became judge, jury, and executioner all in one. Not easy. Yet, so understandable -- e.g., "I looked into the eye of the monster."

I think that Niles got his just deserts and the coolest part his death actually helped to spread the cure , the same way he spread the virus. Very cool twist of fate.

Niles precipitated the deaths (in one way or another) of over 3 billion (or more) people. Granted, Dr. Scott didn't need to cause his death, especially in a particularly painful/gruesome way and I've pondered the depth of her devotion to the Hypocratic Oath (to do no harm)... Did he deserve it, very probably. Was it her place to be judge, jury and executioner? I didn't think so...

She is more of a medical researcher than a traditional doctor, so I suspect that she didn't think as much of the do no harm -- or maybe she thought this will do MUCH good, by eliminating his ability to spread the disease to anyone else. I mean come, those teddy bears of love were pretty bad.

But yeah, I get it. :)

Wow. Finished. Loved every minute of it. The entire season. Saw that something bad would happen at the end, you don't start a feel good segment ten minutes before the end of the last episode. Also saw it as a possible series finale if needed. But the last scene was definitely powerful. Of course, she might just be shot, and not dead. I guess the question is whether she wanted to return for season 3. Has anyone seen any news on that?

Damn good television.
