FYI, I have it on good authority, Fortec is no longer manufacturing the M II receivers.
I am going to miss them, I have installed many and love them.:(

my guess is as good as yours ;)

Regarding the Mercury II, the handwriting has been on the wall for over a year.
I think the lower prices over the last 6, 9, 12 months, has been a reflection of that reality.

If it goes away, the replacement should have more/new features, but I've not heard anything.
We have a couple of vendors here who should know, but they're probably busy clearing their warehouses. :D

I guess you can look to the newest receivers to hit the market, for possibilities.
Assuming the company makes another North American model (questionable!)...
... well, make up your own wish list for Standard Def, blind-scan, receiver. . .
. . . and I won't start any baseless rumors.

So far as I have seen, the Mercury II hasn't had hack support for a year.
With the threat of lawsuits, I wonder if that'll play into any new model?

I was a big supporter of the Passion, but now it appears to have been put out of its misery.
If the company had any -- , they'd meet the obligation it was intended to fulfill.
Design features were based on a user-questionnaire, two  years ago... :(

Help. Need to get Thai Movie channels.

Watching on computer. Should I get a HD FTA receiver?
