Menu screen won't go away

I have a VIP 622 receiver. A few minutes ago I pressed the menu button to scan for locals. After the scan the menu screen did not go away. I pressed live tv, cancel and then did it again. The funny thing is I could change channels and adjust the volume but everything was in the little window on the menu screen. I could not go to a different menu. The only previous irregularity noticed is an LBF drift of -8. Are these issues related? I finally resolved the problem by turning off the power and rebooting. Does this warrant a call to tech support?

Try unplugging it for about 10 seconds.

if you have LNB drift of 8 or more( the eye in the LNB is going to fail ) Call for a new lnb to be installed.
