I've got to get watching. With all the storm damage in Oklahoma, I haven't had time to watch yet. Masterchef Australia started today, so I'm going to get behind on both versions quickly if I don't start soon

For anyone interested BBC America is going to start showing Masterchef UK - The Professionals on Monday June 10th at 7 and 8 am central with a replay in the afternoon.

In the UK the BBC does 3 versions of Masterchef each year (Amatuer, Celebrity and Professional). If the guide info is correct this is last years 2012 Professional edition.

Forgot how boring British TV is. And I'm not a big fan of the cuisine, either. Liver and Kidneys, yuck.

All the versions are regionalized to the local cuisine. Lots of seafood, kangaroo and lamb in the Aussie version. This being the UK Professionals version, you'll see stuff that you wouldn't see on the regular amatuer or celebrity version. More of the snooty 5 star cuisine, that 99% of people don't care for. Normally the Irish and UK versions have, lamb, venison, rabbit and seafood dishes.

The US and Aussie versions are probably more interesting for US viewers. I personally like the Aussie version best, but I doubt you see it on US tv as it is usually 70 or so episodes each season running 4 nights a week for 4 months.

grrr!!!! I really hate our local channels during storm season. Went to watch and I have an hour and a half of storm coverage and about 10 mins of Masterchef and commercials. It wasn't even severe weather, just heavy rain. Apparently our hollywood weathermen are back to crying wolf at every dark cloud. Have to go to Hulu now

You guys have had it bad this spring. Had a bunch of programming interrupted a few weeks ago for a 5.7 earthquake in the middle of nowhere just because the ceiling fan moved a little in Sacramento. Heck. This is California. 5.7 isn't enough to move off of the couch. Anyways, I'll take earthquakes over tornadoes anyday.

You know, the more I watch Master Chef, the more I realize I don't care about the team challenges. I love the mystery box and elimination rounds. I just wish they would show more how they are cooking what they cook. Not necessarily a "how to", but more info on what they do to get the results they get. Sometimes the editing is so concentrated on adding "drama" that they forget it's a show about cooking...
