Maybe this will mean the end of the show in a big way. It was doing poorly in ratings compared to it's season opener, this could be their way out . Might be why they scheduled the movie of Capt. America in April,to give the show a way to end it in May or to give you a season finale that looks like they might not come back due to the effects of the movie. Either way it leaves them a way to either tantalize in a finale that they might be gone, or a way to end the show with an ending that is due to the movie. Smart.

It might get cancelled, but I doubt it. It is the top rated show among men 18-34 and its ratings are up 50% over what ABC had in that time slot last year. Its ratings are also up more than 50% when the Live +7 day ratings are factored in. You may not like it, but it has a lot of upside for ABC.

You're joking right? The movie release date was set long before the series was even picked up, let alone the ratings figures coming in that would lead them to want to cancel the show.

YES, I am totally joking. I forgot that any post that might threaten your idea about this show DANGUE, is not to be discussed in the discussion thread about the very show itself.:drama: WE can only say nice things about it at all times.

The ratings are still good, so likely to get another season.

I thought last week's episode was good. I kept wondering if they were going to have a better Captain America tie in.

Read what I wrote Mike. The actual timeline of decision making makes your movie release date in response to TV show ratings theory impossible, which is why I question whether or not you were joking in making it.

Edit to add: Just like Captain America 3 was just set for May 2016, and will not be set based on any future ratings for any marvel related tv series that may be going on at that time.

Yeah, Agent Sitwell going off to the boat wasn't much of a strong tie in. Though the clip from the movie at the end of the episode was nice, and probably needed as they'll likely reference Fury's "fate" in this week's episode.
Showing the clip they showed shows something happened, but doesn't spoil the movie for anyone.
