Manny's Gone

Ortiz's problems this season may be strictly his own. Don't forget that he's had the AL's leading top average hitter after him in the order most of this year. He's seeing a lot of good pitches, but not taking advantage of them like he used to...
He is hitting out of sync.

So much for Mannywood.

Amazing the lengths these guys will go to cheat. MLB is basically like cycling now. Test all you want, but these guys will still cheat. Very sad.

I am not upset because of what happened to Manny, I never really liked him to begin with. I am more upset of how this affects the Dodgers. Not so much his missing bat in the lineup, but the emotional distress it has on other players and the team as a whole.

I hear ya, as Sox fans we saw first hand his blatant disregard for his teammates last year. Not really surprised it happened again....

I'm a little tired of of the blame the doctor act. I don't see why these guys use all these supplements in the first place.

It was not a supplement. It was a perscription for a possible "bat" issue....:haha:haha:haha

LOS ANGELES – A source close to Manny Ramirez(notes) said Thursday that the illegal substance for which the Los Angeles Dodgers slugger tested positive was not “an agent customarily used for performance enhancing.”

At least not on the baseball diamond. The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the substance is supposed to boost sex drive. It is not Viagra, but a substance that treats the cause rather providing a temporary boost in sexual performance, the source said.

UH OH...NOW the rumors are flying.....LOL! A-ROD has caught a break!

However, two sources told ESPN's T.J. Quinn and Mark Fainaru-Wada that the drug used by Ramirez is hCG -- human chorionic gonadotropin. HCG is a women's fertility drug typically used by steroid users to restart their body's natural testosterone production as they come off a steroid cycle. It is similar to Clomid, the drug Bonds, Giambi and others used as clients of BALCO.

A positive is the Hudson and Torre influence. If I were to vote for a Dodger MVP as both offensive performance and club house leadership, that award would definitely go to Hudson.
