Help
I was missing some of my locals this weekend (Roanoke, VA) only on my OLD model 4000 receiver. Unplugged-Replugged and got ABC, CBS, NBC. Still needed CW, Fox and PBS. Called tech support--they thought that was weird. Tested switch(fine) and reset card. Had those channels for a few hours--lost them. Called back, suggested I make sure port 1 feeds the old reciever and port 2 from the dish feeds the 211 I have. Seeemed to fix-got channels back. Watched Fox football. Went to friends house, and when I returned turned on the MLB game. Fox still there. Turned channel and tried to go back and no Fox. Tech support from Dish wants to send someone out for 49.99.

I have never had a problem on this receiver before. Any suggestions?

PS--it has been rainy all weekend.

What are your signal strengths on 110, spot 25 and 31 (where Roanoke VA locals come from) on this and on your other receivers? Maybe the dish needs slight realignment and only the 4000 is having trouble locking one of those two transponders.

Do the channels appear in the upper (6xxx/7xxx/8xxx/9xxx) range on "ALL SUB" but not in the 2-83 range? That would be a completely different problem.

Problems continue

The signal strength is the same as always. Locals missing reappeared this morning, but no info available in the guide. Not there when I got home from work. Reset the card this afternoon and all channels appeared. Checked again three hours later--gone again. Do you think my receiver is bad? The VIP 211 still gets everything and the signal is fine. Clear skys for the weather.

Thanks for any help.
