no shock but evan longoria and geovany soto were named american and national league rookies of the year today.

but ramy pay close attention here.....joey votto finished second. plus jay bruce and edison volquez also received votes. go reds!

Votto should have gotten the award. He had much better numbers. I hate the way baseball gives their awards almost always to players on winning teams. That should have no impact on an individual award.

I agree. Votto picked up steam at the end of the year, but it went virtually unseen.

Soto is in big bad Chicago, so he wins.

Longorio was a no-brainer. Didn't see enough of the NL to comment about that selection.
