south georgia
I live in South Georgia and have recently "moved" to Atlanta. Got my new locals but none of the HD channels work. Do I have to do something else so they will work or are they unable to get. The satellites on my dish are 110, 119, and 129. Any help is appreciated.

you have to have your dish pointed to 61.5, thats where the Atlanta HD are. And you'll need an HD receiver. You'll have to install the wing dish yourself. No way is Dish going to install a dish where you can illegally receive those channels. Better do some research first, next time.

I don't know where you live in south georgia but if you are too far south, you are out of the spotbeam, there is nothing you can do about that other than really move. If you are in the Albany DMA, you could "move" to Tallahassee to get all networks.

If you give your zip code and antenna/dish setup, people can probably help you a bit more. The Atlanta 129W spot beam map follows:

As you can see, if you're in S GA, you won't be in this spot beam.

Spotbeam 44 covers most of S GA:

Charleston and Savannah are on that spot beam.

Spot beam 51 has Albany GA and Tallahasse FL

The 61.5 spot beam is fairly large that contains Atlanta. Without having it installed it will be difficult to know whether you're under it unless we find someone else in your area already using it.
