All of the birds we are interested in with FTA are in geosynchronous (or geostationary) orbit, so they are always at the same point in the sky. If they were visible from Earth, they'd appear to be a small star, and there would be an arc of them in the southern sky from the southeastern horizon to the southwestern horizon (the Clarke Belt).
