I currently have a PanSat 2500 and my interest in only in FTA. I been looking at the Winegard DS2076, DS3101, and the PanSat F90 dishes. The LNBF I have looked at from PanSat called the PF7600U has a inpu freq range of
LOW 10.70 ~ 11.70 GHz
HIGH 11.70 ~ 12.75 GHz

Most of the other does not cover such a low frequency. If I want broader range coverage should I consider purchasing an LNBF of this type? I noticed that most only cover 11.70 -12.2. I presume this LNB is linear polarization. How do I know by looking at the specs I have not purchased the wrong unit that uses circular polarization?

I really liked the DS3101 but they are difficult to find.

Thanks

Yes its a universal liner KU LNBF, and you are correct it will give you a wider scanning range, but you will not be able to use a signal meter with it. I cant find any details on that LNBF but see below for a link to a similar universal LNBF, you can see the operating voltage and the polarity used.

Motorized Automatic Mobile Ku Dish

Why does the Traxis 2500 Allow me to scan for scrambled channels?
