Link to "ALL" Firmware Updates + Gen 3

HD-DVD updates are in .iso format. You must use image burning software to correctly burn the update to CD. Nero has proven to be one of the best and easiest.

I have my HD-A30 plugged into our Home LAN. This is just for standalone players, right?

I've been debating but since there will be no future tech advances that would require upgrades I figured if it ain't broke don't fix it, may brick it. I have never had a problem with any disk HD or SD. I'm using 1.3

Goodbye to the war zone. I see it was quietly removed.

I kept my A35 at 1.3 since Toshiba introduced Jaggies for users using 1080p/24 with 2.0 and it wasn't corrected with 3.0.

Well, the 3rd gen players had major compatibility issues.

For the A30/A35, it's debatable whether to upgrade. 1080p60 never worked properly for these players and unlikely never will. 1080p24 works w/ VC1 and mpeg2?, but not so well with AVC as of firmware update 2.0.

For the A3, why the heck not? There are quite a few discs that don't behave well with firmware 1.3 (e.g., Enemeny at the Gates), but work with firmware 3.0.
