LG develops worlds first terrestrial UHD Chip

Interesting that it's geared to ATSC 3 and not T2. Especially since indications are that the USA and Korea are the only two countries in the world that appear to be heading towards adopting that particular standard.
 
Canada and Mexico have been mentioned as possible participants (nothing about Japan) but the only two countries actively pursuing ATSC 3.0 are the USA and South Korea. If Canada and Mexico are onboard they aren't jumping up and down about it.

Canada and Mexico usually waits to see what the U.S. does and then play "follow the leader.":wink
