LeBron would consider playing in Europe for about $50 million per season!

Play nice, children. One of the most famous basketball players in the world is talking about leaving his home country, and we stir up crap about the traitorous dog Traitriots? Come on... :)

Hey Hancox, I was enjoying the distraction from the dirty rumors about my boy LeBron....

Or so the media wants you to believe.

The media? Seems to me that LeBron is the one stirring the pot. Enjoy him while you can Matt. My money says he's out of Cleveland as soon as his contract expires.
As for Lebron trying to market his "brand" worldwide; I think a few NBA championships, and a handful of MVP's would be more effective, than playing in Europe. Ask Michael Jordan about that. Got to admit though, for $50M per, there isn't a hell of lot I wouldn't do.

KG fell into a good situation of a team who happened upon tons of cap space one year.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The Cavaliers don’t have a single player under contract (with exception to re-signed Daniel Gibson) for more than LeBron’s two year deal.

What does this mean? When LeBron becomes a FA after the 2010 season, the Cav's will have a free slate and salary cap to work with. Oh btw, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh are free agents then too. So hypothetically, Cleveland will be in position to make a few moves come 2010, ala Boston.

Bosh has a better chance of leaving than Wade...and Wade is MORE likely to stay than Lebron is. Wade is Miami as James is Cleveland. Miami has done the same for cap space and will ALSO go after Bosh. I say Miami gets him before Cleveland does for 3 reason OTHER than Wade: Riley, South Beach and no state taxes.;)

You know ESPN is becoming more and more like a tabloid blog full of rumors and speculation rather than facts based on actual truths backed by quotes. And this is supposed to be a credible news source?!

Please try and find me one quote in this article:

a) From the source (LeBron) talking about him bolting for Europe.
b) From the other source (Europe team) saying they have the funds to make such an offer.

These fabricated speculations are becoming completely aggravating!

This whole article is based on a "source", yet contains no quotes or even gives credibility to the unnamed source. I tell you what, my source says LeBron is going to resign in Cleveland and win many Championships for the city. But guess what? That doesn't sell papers or stir the pot like ESPN is trying to do!

ESPN?!! I saw it on BOTH CNN an FOX NEWS and did a quick search and this was the 1st one I found.

Agreed.:up:up

Here is some reading material for you, ESPN drone.

Ok...I will try to keep this on the Topic and stay away from the Pats cheating issue.

We are a bit of a way from this happening, if it did happen Wow would the NBA be rocking, from these rumors the owners of the oversees teams have lots of money and no cap to deal with it.

Only in america....Oh wait a minute, now were talking about 100 million dollars to pay oversees

I think when the dust and rumors settle he will be with the Nets down the road

I will make an easy prediction:

ESPN will make the "LeBon goes to --blank--" speculative story the biggest media barrage EVER in sports history!

These next two years are going to make Favre-gate, Spy-gate, Vick, OJ and Steroids stories pall in comparison. I am really starting to dread this....
