Lazy landlord... need DISH in my room!

Cool! Thanks for all the help in such a timely manner... A great forum. I will be sure to come back here when I encounter future problems in my NFL viewing experiences :)

your best bet would be to go on fleabay and get a belink/linksys/netgear wireless router. the older ones can be had for ~$10. Then get a slingbox. If you are fine with SD, then the A/V version produces a very good picture. Otherwise you will need a SlingboxPro HD, or if the box is a 722, you can save money and use the sling adapter from dish.

You can then setup a small network for just your TV needs. This will be separate from your internet and work well.

Burlington, VT. 05401 on TV Fool shows the major networks as being 20 miles away at 95 degrees. Your first post shows your bedroom on the second floor. Most "A" frames have large windows which should increase your chances of reception. Invest in a good amplified indoor TV antenna and see what your digital TV shows for reception.

he said he is 30 miles from Burlington....I picked waterbury as example and it shows an outdoor antenna is needed (yellow and red) and 2edge
It all depends on which direction "30 miles from Burlington" the OP is ;)
