prices are really cheap on motors at this site (maxxelectronics.net)
are they fortec motors or knockoffs?

The cheapest motor there looks like the "Digiwave HH990." I found this page on it, which refers to it as Model SG2100A. I've owned and used a (DMS) SG2100, which I believe is a fairly universal part number for these motors. It seems a lot of different companies slap their name onto it.

Armed with that knowledge, you can look up 'SG2100' on eBay etc. Depending on shipping prices, you might spend a dollar or two less- cheapest I found was $71.90 (including shipping). That's a little over $10 USD savings on what it would cost from Maxx Electronics. Hope that helps!

Yea, Iceberg is right.
STAB is an Italian company, and leader in the motor field.
Their logo and model number for the 120 is listed, and the price is attractive.
If this were not a real Stab HH120, they'd get their butt sued off.

Not sure if this link to the Fortec site will work, but they seem to be an importer and/or distributor for the Stab motors in the USA. (?)
For warranty concerns, I bought mine from Sadoun, an authorized dealer, so I'm not having any sleepless nights over failures or repairs.

In spite of some hacker-friendly product selection, your Max-site does have some very attractive FTA products, too.

STAB HH-120 motors are sold by Fortec under license in North America.
Otherwise you would have a heckuva time dealing with warranties
with the manufacturer being in Italy.

Also...SG-2100 market on a DiSEqC Motor does not make it genuine.
DMS International is the exclusive importer of the original (and best)
unit with this name. There are a number of knockoffs that are pure garbage,
so unless you confirm the source, a bargain may not be what it appears.
Buyer beware!

FWIW, the $71.90 deal I found on eBay is a DMS SG2100 from a 99.8% positive feedback seller. Would I steer you wrong? :D

I looked 'em up on PSB, and Ivy, only to find $80 shipped on both.
Then, I realized Maxx is in Canada . . .

I really wish members would put their country in their public info.
City wouldn't hurt, either.
That way, we don't send an American to a Canadian dealer, or a Canadian to a dealer in the USA.
When we do, the member probably thinks we're stupid.

Bottom line is, the OP who wanted to get his equipment from Maxx, is probably going to pay less for local shipping.
And no fees for currency conversion.
Of course, it's always good to do the research and find out.
Few months ago, I got a killer deal on a Mercury II shipped in from Canada, and no US dealer could touch it.

edit:
and if I wasn't clear in the previous post, the Stab HH120 on Maxx, seemed an outstanding price.
